Dinner for One

By David Jensen, July 2022

On paddle board expeditions, I keep to a minimum what I bring from home, including the amount of food I carry. The majority of my nourishment comes from fishing and foraging. In this video, The Food Situation: Fishing, Foraging and Preserves, you will see me gathering rosehips, blueberries, salmonberries and other goodies, fishing for cod, salmon or trout and capturing mussels from the rocks. On a good foraging day (even although I say so myself) I can dish up a dinner for one to match any downtown Vancouver restaurant.

Disclaimer: This video is not intended to be an instructional video. David Jensen and LonePaddle Conservationists Society stress the possible dangers of eating wild plants as many that may look like food can be extremely toxic.  Always refer to a foraging guide book.
