BOARD NEWS
2024 expedition Update
By David Jensen 07/24/2024
I’ve just spent 32 days cleaning Cape Russell and the tricky parts of Lowrie Bay and Hansen’s Bay. It rained for two weeks so, unlike last year, water was plentiful although it did make things a little slippery!
Also, unlike last year, both the board and I are injury free! Well almost – I did put a small hole in the board first day out. Nevertheless, it performed well and I’m very happy with it. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.
I’ve collected way more debris than 2023 although I don’t have the actual count yet. Wildlife has been fascinating – have you ever seen an eagle swim? I hadn’t, until this trip. They use their wings to skim across the water. I spent 10 days or so watching a mama bear and her newborn. Baby grew taller than the grass while we were together.
I’m off again on July 28. Heading to St. Joseph and then to the Scott Islands. Stay tuned.

If you’d like to get on board (not the paddleboard) and help with the cleanup, you can do so here. I really appreciate your interest and support.
